Runaways Wiki

The Manual of Style is a format layout that we here at Runaways Wiki designed in effort to provide visual representation on how each page created on this wiki should be presented.

General Guidelines

When creating a page, all users are expected to follow the guideline down below:

  • The first appearance of the article's title on the page should be in bold text.
  • If the article is incomplete, then a {{Stub}} template should be added, though this should be confirmed with an administrator, first.
  • Internal links to titles of additional articles within the wiki should be linked only on their first occurrence within their first appearance within a section.
  • Categories should be used on every page as they help group together pages on similar subjects. However, please do not create any new categories. If you have any suggestion(s)/objection(s), please first discuss it with an administrator. Unnecessary, duplicated, spam, etc., categories will be deleted. If the category does not currently exist, then it likely isn't needed, or wanted.
  • Relationship articles are not to be created. Each character can include a generalized seasonal/series summary of specific relationships, such as family or significant other.
  • Changes to sections/articles that constitute major reformatting or re-construction or articles should not be done without consultation with an administrator. Even then, such changes may be denied as there are numerous articles within the below mentioned article types.
  • Although the community attracts visitors and editors from various countries that speak a variety of languages, including British English, all users should strive to use American English here on Runaways. This is due to the fact that the show is produced by Hulu, an American subscription service and premiered in the United States (though has been broadcasted by other countries, such as Canada via Showcase Television). We especially ask that users are careful in their use of spelling. Although users are asked to follow this, it is understandable that any variation of the English language is not some users first language and spelling and grammatical errors can occur.
  • Do not create redirects. Full Pipe-links should be used (not redirect). When articles names need to be updated to reflect new information, please see an administrator or moderator for renaming. Erroneous pages renames creates pointless redirects that do not serve the community beneficially. Abusing the move features comes with serious penalties.
