I, at this time, saw blessings spread around me like a sea. Thus, while the days flew by and the years passed on from nature overflowing on my soul I had received so much that every thought was steeped in feeling. I was only then contented, when with bliss ineffable I felt the sentiment being spread over all that moves and all that seemeth still. Over all that, lost beyond the reach of thought and human knowledge, to the human eye, invisible, yet liveth to the heart.

Destiny is the third episode of the first season of Runaways and the third episode of the series overall.[1]

Synopsis[]

The kids are reeling following last night’s events. As an investigation begins, they discover their parents may have more to hide than they could have imagined.[2]

Plot[]

SPOILER ALERT
~Flashback: "Ten Years Ago" (Approximately 2007)~

Gene and Alice Hernandez are being laid to rest. The members of PRIDE and their children attend the funeral. Robert Minoru, Dale Yorkes, Frank Dean, Geoffrey Wilder, and Victor Stein are pallbearers; Catherine and Alex Wilder, Janet and Chase Stein, Tina, Amy, and Nico Minoru, Stacey and Gert Yorkes, and Leslie and Karolina Dean follow closely behind their husbands and their deceased friends from their so-called accident. The Priest offers words of condolences as Gene and Alice are laid into the ground. Stacey kisses an orphaned Molly, who sits in a wheelchair, and tells her she's sorry. Convening together, the kids play while the parents talk. Janet pours Catherine a drink and they toast to Gene and Alice; "Gone too soon". Catherine can't help but wonder what if it was Alex sitting over in the next room all by himself. Janet warns her not to do that. What happened to Gene and Alice was an accident, but at least they did well for themselves and Molly will be taken care of financially. Robert digs into the hummus and Geoffery confesses that he's seen Tina's hand, the burns. Robert tells him that she burned herself on a frying pan, but he's not buying the story. He tells them that the Hernandezes were good people and that they didn't deserve this. Robert stands behind his wife, telling Geoffrey this Tina didn't do whatever he thinks happened to the Hernandezes. They don't keep secrets from one another. Despite that, Geoffrey doesn't believe him and walks off. Stacey, heading towards the kitchen, stops briefly and asks him if he's okay, to which he is. In the kitchen, Dale worries and expresses his concerns to Stacey. What if PRIDE realizes that they spoke to Gene and Alice the night of their deaths? What if they think they know something? Stacey doesn't care. They owe it to Gene and Alice and more so now to Molly. Dale expresses that if PRIDE believes they know something, then they'll come for them too. If that the case, then they'll have to find a way to protect themselves. In the next room, Dale and Stacey join Molly. Stacey tells her that they loved her parents and they know how much they loved her. They express that they would have wanted to have a good home and wonder if Molly would like to come live with them. Molly smiles and Dale offers his hand to her. Molly takes his, acceptingly, as Stacey tells her that they just want her to have a normal life.

~Present Day~

At the Yorkes Residence, Molly frantically searches her room. She begins to lose control and her eyes glow yellow. Molly rips one of her dresser drawers out, flinging it across the room, the contents flying to the floor. Her eyes return to normal. Gert barges into her room, telling her to come on. They're going to be late. She notices the mess on the floor and asks her what's going on. Molly can't find her kitty cat pin. Gert snaps at her, telling her she can look for her "dumb" hair thing later. Molly snaps back, telling her it's not dumb, that her mom gave it to her. Gert takes a moment, realizing the pins significance and apologizes to her. She forgot. Molly walks past her and shuts the door. She confesses that she believes something is wrong with her, that when she freaks out, something happens. Gert wonders if it's like a panic attack; she understands that and hers started when she was around the same age, too. She'd say it's genetic, but they're not actually related.

At the Dean Residence, Karoline sits in her room, listening to her mother's audio tape on Spectral Guided Meditation. Leslie comes into her room, wondering if she's okay, having heard her own voice. Karolina states that she felt like she needed a little more light in her life. Karolina poses the same question back to her mother. Leslie expresses that it was so great seeing all the kids back together again last night and questions if it had been fun to catch up. Karolina's attention is diverted to a couple of text messages. An image of BrandonLucas pop up on her screen, their faces exhibiting black eyes. Another message flashes on screen. "Hear this was Chase!" Another comes through, "Bro's before Ho's dude!" Then "HE'S SO DEAD!" Leslie calls back her attention, and answers her previous question. It was fun, like old times, but different. Leslie hopes they'll all stay in touch and leaves Karolina to her thoughts. Another message comes through to her WizPhone and she's immediately happy.

At the beach, they meet up at 10 a.m. Chase catches up to Gert and Molly. Nico, in all black, calls out to Alex, as they all converge together. Nico wants to get this over with, but Alex wants to wait; there's only five of them. Chase agrees and wants to wait for Karolina, who is the last to join them. She's late, but she tells them they have to see something and shows them her phone. It's a picture message from Destiny Gonzalez. The message states that a spot opened on the church trip to London and that they'll tall soon. Karolina believes that Destiny is fine and they don't have to worry. Nico offers another valid theory: Photoshop. The picture could be a total fake. She knows Karolina wants to believe that the picture is proof enough, but it's not to her. Karolina doesn't accept that. Her mom seemed fine this morning and she wouldn't have acted so "normal" if she had just killed one of her parishioners they previous night. Nico, again, offers that most serial killers are completely devoid of empathy. Chase corrects her, however, this was more of a ritualistic killing type of thing. As they toss out idea, Gert wonders if they should consider a LARPing scenario - live-action roleplay? Chase if unfamiliar with the terms and questions if that is where people dress up like cute animals and have sex. Nico tells him that in that scenario, they would be "furries". Alex believes that there's an easier way to get to the bottom of this. They need to do some P. I. work and let cooler heads prevail. Hopefully in a couple hours they'll know that their parents are just weird, and not killers. Karolina offers to check in with the youth group at her church, to make sure that Destiny is actually on the London trip. Chase offers to go with her. Alex likes the buddy system, but they need to prioritize. Victor's new Leapfrog has a mega-sized trunk and Alex believes that he put that glowing box in back and took it home with him. Destiny could still be in the box. Chase isn't thrilled at the thought of his father finding him digging through his stuff. Gert offers that he better not catch him then and that if he had an awesome sleuth like her as his lookout, then he'd be safe. Alex likes the idea and tells him that it's a good call. Pairing up here actually makes sense. Chase attempts to dissuade their pairing, saying that he's not agreed to anything yet. Gert offers that it'll take five minutes, and then afterwards they can prepare for his Spanish quiz on Monday. She has flashcards. Chase contemplate the thought and agrees that it's not a terrible idea. Alex will try and check out his parent's secret ceremony room. There might be some clues down there and attempts to get Nico to agree to be his lookout. Nico however believes she would check out her Mom's staff and see what the thing really does. She recounts his previous statement - prioritizing. Alex wants them to use their text chain to keep in touch, important business only. Molly offers another thing they could look into. A monster in our basement. They don't believe her, that the past 24-hours have been crazy enough. Molly is insistent that Dale and Stacey could have engineered some kind of creature. Gert however attributes Molly's anxiety is often linked to paranoia. That's the last straw for Molly, she's not paranoid and believe it could all be related. Fed up, she storms off the beach, telling them to leave her alone. The group disbands but Karolina pulls Chase to the side. She wants to talk about the night prior at the party they were both at. She tells him that she saw what Brandon and Lucas posted online and they seem super pissed about something. She asks Chase if they got into a fight at the party. Chase doesn't tell her the real reason, and covers that it was over some stupid lacrosse stuff and that they couldn't take a joke. Karolina wants to be sure that it wasn't about a girl, but Chase tells her it wasn't.

At Victor's laboratory at the Stein Residence, Destiny Gonzalez haunts him while he attempts to work. The hallucination is real. It pleads with Victor to let her out of there and she'd swear she wouldn't tell anyone. She begs him, again and again. Victor turns but she's gone. Janet comes down, questioning if he's been there all night. She tells him that they're going to be late for the "Heal the Bay" charity luncheon. The Nemo car that he donated is the centerpiece of the auction, which starts in half an hour. She ask him again if he's okay. Frustrated, he tells her that he is. Why wouldn't he be? Janet reminds him that he was having trouble with the box yesterday, yet it kind of seemed like maybe it wasn't the box that was the problem. Victor doesn't like this remark and he goes stern. He tells her that he need her on his side. With his temper rising, he tells her that he carries here. The whole family in fact. The least she could possibly do is give him some support. He leaves and tells she to let's go. They're late, as is.

At Synnergy Bioengineering, Dale and Stacey talk as they walk the halls. She confesses that she had nightmares after what they had done the prior night. It's all so horrible, but at least it's almost over and she never has to see Tina Minoru's face ever again. As they open the door to their lab, there stands Tina and Robert Minoru and their lab techs who yell "surprise". Stacey's taken aback. It's not their birthdays or their anniversary. Tina informs them that it's the Synnergy Serum. Specifically, Robert tells them that it's on the cover of the American Journal of Experimental Medicine. The hard copy arrived today. A lab tech wheels out a cake in the shape of the Synnergy Serum in a briefcase. Now, according to Tina, they can let the pharmaceutical companies start their competitive bidding. Dale, however, wanted to go in a different direction. They could reach out to DARPA. The government needs this for PTSD treatment. Stacey even offers that they could use it for terrorist reprogramming. Tina expresses some agreement, that just one of those little cartridges does makes people forget a lot of bad things. All of which is to be discussed, but as they're angel investors, they're just here to say congratulations. Tina adds that nothing says "we believe in you" more than a big, fat startup check. Stacey quips that they now expect a big return on as she takes a sip of her drink. Tina's smile goes stern, but Dale changes the mood. He puts his overs over the Minorus' shoulders, telling them that return shall be theirs, because they're going to sell the crap out of the serum and make everybody rich. Rather even more rich. Dale decides to cut the cake.

As Tina and Robert leaves, Robert confesses that the surprise was nice. He's glad that they did it. Tina reminds him that it was, after all, his idea. Robert gives the valet his card and goes to get their car. Tina recalls their memories of when they'd go to a terrible 24-hour sushi bar near Synnergy, and drink Ramunes whenever they had a deadline to meet. Robert fondly remembers that her hands would shake from all the sugar. Now they have other people to hit their deadlines for them. Tina offers that they go out tonight and have some real sushi. A date. Quality time together. Robert deflects. He offers that they'll spend time together packing up Amy's room, but her offer isn't about Amy. It's about them. They may not be able to get back to the way things were, but they can try. They have to at least try. Robert deflects again, and offers that they maybe should invite Nico, too. She really needs them now. Robert tables the discussion as their car pulls up.

Back at the Stein Residence, Gert stands watch as Chase searches his dad's laboratory. Gert updates him that they're all clear, though she's only just reported it "two seconds ago". As Gert looks around, she picks up a weird looking pair of goggles. She recognizes them, having read about them in "Wired". She questions if they're supposed to let you see through everything. She turns them on and looks around the room, settling on Chase as he turns around. "Whoa" is all Gert can muster. Chase quickly uses his hands to cover his groin area and asks Gert if she was just checking out his junk. She quickly lifts the goggles above her head. Confused at why he'd ask that, though offers that she maybe gave it a cursory glance, purely out of scientific curiosity. As they look around the room, Gert notices something on the floor leading to the back wall. They find the box. Gert wants Chase to open it but Chase is hesitant. He's never seen a dead person before. Gert uses the x-ray goggles and peers through the box, but it's empty. Chase is glad because he can't figure out how to open the box. He also hope that since the box is empty it means that Destiny is chilling in some sick club in London and not dead. He wants to call it a day, but Gert tells him that their work isn't done yet. She tells him that her parents experiment on living things all the time and brings up Molly's comment from when they were at the beach. She said she had heard something weird in the basement. Gert wonders what if Destiny is their latest test subject. Chase agrees that they could check it out. Gert suggests that they could use the goggles to scour the basement from the outside. No sense in risking their well-being.

At the Wilder Residence, Geoffrey confronts Catherine about Molly's hair pin that he found in his study. Catherine confirms it's her. He wonders if she was fooling around in his study, she could've found the stairs. Alternatively, maybe she never went near them. They've got no way of being sure, though. Catherine disagrees, they do and he knows it, too. Catherine pulls out the Synnergy Serum, though Geoffrey warrants caution, needing a little more proof. Catherine believes she has all the proof she needs. They all saw the flash from the prior night, though Geoffrey still believes it was the breakers. Catherine poses what if it wasn't. Geoffrey is still cautious. The serum is dangerous and they saw what it did to Frank Dean. He's never been the same since. He questions if she's willing to mess with a young girl's mind. Catherine is open to suggestions. She tells him that she has represented kids not much older than Molly. Two minutes with her, and she'll know, and if she did see something, which Geoffrey hopes it doesn't come to, then she'll use it. They can't let anyone undermine what they're doing. Not after all that they've been through.

Meanwhile at the Minoru Residence, Tina and Robert dress in cocktail attire. Nico sees them and questions why they're all dressed up. Tina informs her that there is still plenty of time before their reservation if she'd like to change. Robert questions about his text message to her earlier, but Nico is aware. Her phone has been off all day; trying to clear up her energies. Robert expresses that they'd be happy to wait for her, but Nico turns them down. They haven't had a date night since the Obama Administration and offers for them to go without her. Tina agrees. With that settled, Robert and Tina head off for dinner. With her parents gone, Nico heads for her mother's office and stares at the case where sits the Staff and attempts to figure out how it opens. She searches the sides and top to see if there is some kind of release function, but finds nothing.

Catherine stages a meeting with Molly at Timely Coffee. She's sitting by herself, listening to Hispanic rap music when Catherine finds her and snatches one of her ear bud out, catching her off guard. She greets Molly with a friendly gesture and Molly does the same, but is cautious. Catherine is glad that she's ran into her because she has something of hers. She sits her cat hair pin on the table and tells her that Geoffrey found it. Molly thanks her as she explains that he found it quite a ways off from where she and the other kids were hanging out and wonders if something was wrong. Molly covers and tells her that what actually happened was that she was trying to find a bathroom, which she's been going through some changes, puberty-type stuff. Catherine tells her that is all completely normal. Every woman goes through the same kind of thing. Molly deflects again, tells her that she believes she feels more changes coming and excuses herself to the bathroom. She locks the door and immediate tries the window, though it's barred shut. Catherine heads to the bathroom as well, knocking on the door and asking if she's okay. Molly ignores her and her eyes glow yellow as she picks up the toilet and places it under the window. Catherine's attempt to get Molly to open the door is cut short. A Patron tells her that there is a line and Catherine walks off. Molly, however, having the height to reach the bars, uses her powers again and removes the entire window and escapes. However, barely making it out, she collapses due to exhaustion.

Meanwhile, Alex investigates his father's study, alone. Just as he's able to start snooping around, he receives a text message from him. "Headed home" it reads. He immediately calls him in a bid to buy more time. Alex tells him he's just checking in and thought he said he wouldn't be back till later. His meeting ended early, though Catherine will be gone all day. He asks Alex if he's hungry. See his opportunity, he wonders if they could do food from "that place" on San Vicente, that is if it's on his way home, and perhaps once he's home, he could get some girl advice. To his surprise, Geoffrey's already home. He's in the kitchen. He's confused, but Geoffrey tells him that he sent that 30 minutes prior and that the hills must have delayed the service and wonders if he's in the quest house. Alex runs back to his father's desk and attempts to close the secret doors but he's obliged to force it shut, manually.

Geoffrey receives a call from Catherine and asks how's it going? She informs him that Molly went to the bathroom and never came back. She snuck out and concludes that she saw something. Geoffrey warns her that she'd better be sure first. She will, once she finds her. As she walks behind Timely Coffee, she spots Molly passed out on the ground, leaned up against a dumpster. She's rushes to her side, calling out her name, but she doesn't respond.

Alex, however, rushes out the study through the side doors and around to greet his father. Geoffrey notices his stressed state and thinks that the girl trouble must really be getting to him. Just because they don't usually talk about this stuff doesn't mean they can't. As they walk into the study, the doors have already shut, causing Alex to take a double glance at them.

Meanwhile, Catherine has loaded Molly up in her Range Rover and takes her to a secluded location. As Catherine opens and shuts the door to sit next to her, Molly's jarred awake. Feeling any better? Catherine was genuinely worried about her. Molly attribution the fainting to dehydration, that Stacey says caffeine is a diuretic. Catherine notices that she still calls her "Stacey". She's not her mom although she is probably wondering where she is right now. She attempts to leave but Catherine grabs her by the arm. Brushing back her hair, she's curious with everything is okay. Molly takes a different approach. Molly admits that she lied to her before. Catherine subtlety moves to grab the injector with the serum. Last night, she went someplace she shouldn't have. She "confesses" that the other kids sent her to spy on you and the other parents to find out if you were still in Mr. Wilder's office. Per her story, they wanted to raid the liquor cabinet. She admits that what she did was wrong, but they made her because she's the youngest. Catherine is relieved but yet Molly see. To bolster her lie, Molly asks Catherine if she thinks she's lying, that nobody ever believes her. Not her parent, not the other kids, which is, in part, true. To add insult, she's just the adopted girl who everyone got stuck with. This however causes a rise out of Catherine and she stops her. Nobody is stuck with her. Dale and Stacey loves her like their own child. Molly truthfully admits that she wished she knew more about her birth parents. Catherine reminds her that they were part of PRIDE and now that she's older, she would be happy to tell her more about her mom and dad. Whatever she wants to know. Satisfied with Molly's story, Catherine lets go of the injector.

As Nico continue to snoop through Tina's office desk, she finds Amy's diary in a bottom drawer. However, what Nico was pulling on caused Wizey to announce that the manual override had been activated and the case to the Staff was unlatched. Nico grabs the staff, but pricks her finger inadvertently and causes it to activate as well. Using the staff, she prys open the drawer with Amy's diary and beings to thumb through it. She finds one of Amy's snowflakes and she recalls a fond memory. Weirdly, it beings to snow in Tina's office and Nico is presently surprised as she turns and looks around the room.

At the sushi restaurant, Tina comments on how fantastic the shiro maguro is. Likewise, with Robert, so is the halibut. Tina feeds him a slice via chopsticks and admits that she's missed this, just the two of them, alone. Robert remains silent. Tina has another idea. She, ever so carefully, takes off her undergarments and joins hands with him. She has booked them a room five minutes away, stating that it worked for Dakota Johnson. Robert however rejects her. They're not characters in some trashy movie. This is real life and they're in a real marriage. Never mind last night, he wonders if what they do, doesn't it take anything out of her? Tina admits that it does but she's just trying to have some fun. She recalls that he used to love going to hotels, having her come by in the middle of the day. The server comes by, asking if she can get them anything else and notices the crumpled up pair of panties. Tina quickly grabs them and brushes her off. Robert stands to leave, telling Tina to stay and have the green tea mochi. Tina's confused as to why he's leaving and he tells her that he can't do "this". He blames her, that she's shut him out for two years, and then show up tonight, 100 miles an hour. It's just too confusing. He apologizes to her and tells her that he'll get a Lyft.

At the Church of Gibborim, Karolina walks the halls, looking at the photo she got from Destiny. She decides to call her, but soon discovers that the number has been disconnected. Vaughn appears and wonders if there was a Youth for the Truth meeting tonight. However, those were banned after some guy tried to swallow a light bulb, which Vaughn's forgotten about. Karolina attempting to track down Destiny Gonzalez and wonders if he's seen her. He hasn't. Not since yesterday afternoon. He believes she left for the London trip right after Karolina's Vanity Fair interview. She wants to be sure and presses for more information. Vaughn tells her that he saw her get in a car headed to the airport. He fidgets with his Gibborim brace and he sees her notice. He tells her that wearing it in the warm weather always triggers his eczema. She wonders if he's ever taken it off. He has, once or twice. Knowing this, Karolina asks if he's ever seen the light, but that only confuses his. She elaborates, and describes the "colors". Vaughn doesn't understand her question and equate it to a weird tan line, if that's what she means. It's not, but she'll go with it to end the conversation. As Karolina turns she sees her grandfather's painting. Bright vibrant colors that she saw before, yet, painted on a mural. Vaughn thinks that her grandfather was talented but clearly did his fair share of peyote back in the day.

Back at the Minoru Residence, Nico's called Alex and he's arrived. Nico's call was about literal snow in Tina's office. Alex mocks her, thinking that maybe their smart house was having a cocaine malfunction, but Nico needs his "nerd brain" to make it stop. Alex pushes for answers with Tina's AI and tells her to "Ixnay on the snoway." Wizey responds, stating that it is not responsible for the precipitation anomaly. Nico shows Alex the Staff, thinking that it had something to do with the snow. She thinks it's magic. Despite her Wiccan beliefs, Alex believes there's got to be a scientific explanation. Nico believes otherwise. One minute she was looking at one of Amy's snowflakes, and then the next it was snowing. It was like the staff read her mind. Alex asks to see it see it for a second but as soon as she hands it to him, it shocks him and he drops it to the floor and deactivates. The snow also stops. Wizey speaks again, telling Nico that it has a message from the alpha user. Tina is on her way home.

Stopping at a food truck for dinner, Dale and Stacey order Mexican food. Dale is in disbelief that they actually did it, they created the serum. Stacey, however, isn't. They've spent years working on it and it will be their nest egg. Stacey's so excited to never, ever get a text about brie again. Dale's happy that they can finally stop hurting people. Stacey agrees too. As they order food, Stacey reminds dale about their "friend" in the basement and proceeds to order larger quantities of food but then decides against it. As they wait for food, Stacey tells Dale that they're going to have to tell Gert and Molly. Dale sarcastically remarks that they'll love finding out that they all are moving to a remote ranch in the Yucatan with their prehistoric guard dog. Stacey wants to be a little more subtle, but they can't afford to not to tell them. They can't just tear them away from their lives without any warning. Dale, however, wants to surprise them with beautiful soft-serve in hand.

With the Yorkes Residence unoccupied, Gert and Chase use the x-ray goggles to look through the house. Chase is disappointed that there are no naked chicks and wants to go in the basement. Gert believes that to be a terrible idea, but proceed regardless.

Despite their date ending abruptly, Robert reconvenes at an apartment with Janet. They're having an affair on their respective husband and wife. Janet is just happy to be away from her abusive husband and they continue to kiss and undress one another.

Nico and Alex frantically tries to clean up the snow, towards the middle of the room. Wizey indicates that the alpha user is four miles away but they manage to clean up the snow and Tina makes it home. Nico replaces the Staff back in the case but keeps Amy's diary. Wizey speaks again, the alpha user has arrived, and Nico and Alex rush out of Tina's office. Tina yells throughout the house to announce that she's home. They need a cover story and Nico asks him to look away as she takes her shirt off. She climbs on top of him and makes it seem like they're together to explain why Alex is here. Tina buys the ruse. Here she thought Nico was thinking of her and her father, but really she just wanted them out of the house Tina tells Alex it's time to leave. Nico dresses and walks him out to his car. He's glad that she reached out to him and gives her a quick kiss on the lips. Nico's taken aback and asks him if he realized what happened in there was just an act. Alex asks if it was and leaves. "Later, Hermione", he calls back to her, as he gets in his car.

Back at the apartment, Janet wonders whose place it is that they're using; work buddy lend him a key she questions. Robert tells him that the place is theirs. He made a down payment on Monday. He's also ready to start living his life with her and he's ready to tell Tina. Janet's surprised at this admission. They've never talked about taking things to the next level. She has to make sure that none of this, their affair, blows back on Chase. There is also PRIDE. Robert reassures her that PRIDE won't matter for much longer as they're about to break ground, and be done with this thing. He's sure they'll finally be able to start putting ourselves first. Janet, however, needs some time to process.

As Chase and Gert enter the Yorkes' laboratory, Chase notices and questions who trashed the door. Must've been Bigfoot was Gert's only response. As Chase looks around with the x-ray goggles, he attempts to look at Gert, but she's wear a cover that prevents the x-rays from passing through. Chase is offend at the double standard as she's actually his is dick but Gert reasons that after centuries of patriarchal oppression, she getting to objectify him is just called evening the playing field. Gert calls out to Destiny, but there's no response. Chase finds a door made from the same material that Gert's apron is made from. He can't see through it so they decide to open the door. However, a large creature barrels through knocking them both down. Chase uses the goggles to see what moved passed them and finds the creature. He tells Gert that they need to leave, but they're path is blocked by the large dinosaur. Gert on the edge of a panic attack commands herself to take deep breaths. To calm down. Everything's under control. The dinosaur seems to respond to Gert and Chase notices that it is. It's listen to her. In the distance, a car horn honks and the dinosaur runs from the basement, out of the house.

In Leslie's private study at the Church of Gibborim, she sits with a Mysterious Man. She doesn't understand. What they've done hasn't normally taken this long to take effect. The man responds that he doesn't feel anything. As she leave the office, Vaughn approaches her. He too is curious about Destiny, that Karolina approached him earlier, and wonders if she's on a mission trip in London. Before she can answer, she receives a phone call from Tina. Leslie immediately answers, citing that she'll have to call her back, but Tina refuses. She tells her to turn on the local news. Leslie's not near a TV, but Tina will wait. What she needs to see is important. Dismissing Vaughn, Leslie finds a TV. The News Reporter is at the scene of breaking news. The body of a local girl washes up on shore. The body has been identified as Destiny Gonzalez. She urges if anyone knows anything about Destiny Gonzalez, they are being urged to contact Detective Flores with the West Los Angeles Division. The news broke roughly 30 minutes prior and Victor, Janet, nor Robert are answering their phones. Leslie now understands why the Mysterious Man is not getting any better. Tina realizes what that means. PRIDE needs another sacrifice.
